McPherson Industrial Development Company, Inc. is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors, each of whom serves on the Company's behalf on a voluntary basis with no remuneration. Day to day operations are performed by a salaried Executive Director.

MIDC's budget is supported by funding from both the City of McPherson and McPherson County. Under an operating agreement with the City of McPherson, MIDC is empowered and given the responsibility of attracting new industries to the area and to assist existing industries to expand and become more successful. When invited to do so, MIDC also assists other McPherson County communities in industrial development efforts at no cost. MIDC operates on behalf of and for the benefit of the McPherson community and its industries.
